Senoia Bicycle Shop Rides

 

At Senoia Bicycle, we love to ride and we love to help those who are new to the sport or an experienced rider looking for some race training.  We try and offer a local ride either from our shop or nearby that suits a wide range of ride levels and ride options.  We aim to keep this ride schedule up to date but when in doubt see the South Side Cycling Calendar or call the shop. Come ride with us!

 

Here’s what you need on the ride:

 

  • Bring a bike! Unless indicated, these rides are intended to be ridden on a road bike. However, hybrid/cross bikes are always welcome but the majority of riders will be on road bikes.
  • Wear your Helmet! Helmets are mandatory on all of our rides.  Also, note when earbuds are not allowed on rides.
  • Additional Recommendations: Nutrition: food/drink, money for bonk emergencies, flat repair kit, appropriate clothing, lights required for night riding.

Our Weekly Group ROAD Rides

PRC/Sorba Atlanta Gravel Grinder

Day: Tuesday
Start: 5:00 pm-  A Group / 6:30 pm- B Group
Mileage/Pace: 30-35 miles/14 mph
Serenbe Turn up the hill onto Selborne Way by “the Hill” restaurant then turn left into gravel parking area. “A” ride is fast and a drop ride and rolls at 5:00, the B ride starts at 6:30 and is a steady ride with a 12-14ish pace. Come do either or both loops. Lights mandatory, cross, gravel or mountain bikes are best.

Atlanta Trek/Senoia Bicycle Haralson Gravel

Day: Thursday
Start: 6:30 pm
Mileage/Pace:  33-40 miles/21-24 mph
Haralson Gravel Ride! Join Carter from Senoia Bicycle and Ian from PTC Trek to ride some gravel! There will be a 20 or 30 mile loop. We are keeping this a casual group gravel ride. No A/B groups. Bring your light, helmet, MTB, or CX bike and join the fun!
6:00 PM: Carter rides from Senoia Bicycle
6:30 PM: Ride leaves from Haralson Pavillion: 171 Magnolia St. Haralson, GA

Sunday Senoia Bicycle Beginner Ride

Day: Sunday
Start: 2:00 PM
Mileage/Pace: 20-25 miles/casual

This ride welcomes beginner level riders or riders who desire a more relaxed pace.  We will offer warm-up and cool-down periods, as well as instruction and helpful hints to get your comfortable on your bike!

Saturday Senoia Bicycle Group Ride

Day: Saturday
Start: 10:30am / 1:00 pm**
Mileage/Pace: 30-35 miles/19+/- mph
Ride usually breaks into several groups, we will try and stagger the start time for each group accordingly. The 15-16 is a NO drop group.

A Group (19+ mph)
B Group (16-18 mph)
C Group (15-16 mph)

Monday Senoia Bicycle Group Ride

Day: Monday
Start: 8:00 am / 10:30 am**
Mileage/Pace: 30-35 miles/14 mph
Sarah Swab is heading up a Monday Morning Ride from the shop! 14mph average, 30-35 miles in duration, casual pace.

PRC Tuesday Night Training Ride

Day: Tuesday
Start: 6:30 pm / 5:45 pm**
Mileage/Pace: 33-40 miles/21-24 mph
We will have options for additional miles. For Safety ALL PRC rides are NO EARBUD rides. This ride is a drop ride. We do a 10 mile SOCIAL PACED warmup as a group so everyone can talk and enjoy, when we turn left on Gray Girls Road everyone is free to hammer. Front group after warm up usually avg’s around 25mph, last group is usually around 20-21ish, with lots of smaller groups somewhere in the middle.

We have printed ride maps/cue sheets available at the shop so before the ride just stop by and we would be happy to provide a paper copy print out.   Or for your convience we have listed Strava and Garmin links below. (please note that these routes can change depending on ride leader, we do our best to keep you up to date and informed on any ride route changes).
